About Acadiana Antique Tractor and Engine Club

The History and Story Behind Our Club.

In 1972 my father purchased two Model D John Deere Tractors to plant rice and help pay for the new house he and my mother were building. A few years down the road when my brother graduated high school he decided to restore one of the old tractors. Now in the 70's people were not really into restoring old tractors. Most people thought he was wasting his time fooling around with and fixing up the old tractor. Fortunately, for our family and the rest of our club; it sparked an interest that would later grow into The Acadiana Antique Tractor and Engine Club founded in 1995. To protect our name and organization it was legally incorporated on February 28, 2000 as a non-profit organization.

Location and Members:

The Club's actual location is a small town named Crowley, Louisiana located in what is known as The Rice Capital of The United States right in the middle of Acadia Parish. We currently haveĀ 45 members and we are still growing.
